- BC has won two of the last six meetings, taking one game in each series over the last two years.
- The Eagles are 3-5 in one-run games against the Tigers and 3-4 in two-run games, but just 2-7 when one team wins by five runs or more.
- Head Coach Mike Gambino earned his first win against the Tigers the last time the Eagles were in Clemson in 2014, with a 3-1 victory in the final series of the season. The Eagles dropped the final game, 10-9, in 13 innings after holding a 9-3 lead in the ninth.
- Last year, BC won the second of the three game series, 8-7, in Chestnut Hill. Junior RHP Justin Dunn earned the win and senior LHP Jesse Adams the save.
- Clemson is now led by first-year head coach Monte Lee, whom the Eagles have never faced. He was at the helm of College of Charleston for the last seven years.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES

- Senior RHP John Nicklas has tallied three win in six appearances. In 8.1 innings of relief, he has allowed just two hits, two walks and has yet to give up a run of any kind. He leads all relievers with 11 Ks. With his 68th career appearance in the shutout victory over the Wolfpack on Sunday, Nicklas is now tied for 10th in BC record books.
- Redshirt sophomore RHP Bobby Skogsbergh returned to action for the first time on Feb. 21 since March 24, 2015 as an injury sidelined him after only three appearances last season. In three of his first four outings, he retired the side in order. He threw 2.1 scoreless innings against NC State, allowed just two hits, one walk and struck out four while recording the final out of the 1-0 victory on Sunday to tally his first career save.
- Junior Michael Strem saw his eight-game hit streak came to an end in Saturday's 3-2 loss to NC State on an 0-for-2 day with a sac bunt and a walk, but he has reached base in the last 10 games, racking up 11 hits, four runs, two walks and seven RBIs.
