- Sophomore righty Donovan Casey recorded his first career save, throwing the final 1.1 innings and not allowing a hit, run or walk while striking out one.
- Senior Logan Hoggarth entered the game in the seventh inning as a defensive replacement in left and went on to single in the eighth, extending his career-long hit streak to 10 games.
- Junior Chris Balogh made his first career start in a BC uniform and went 2-for-4 as the designated hitter.
KEY PLAYS

- NIU scored in the eighth to make it a one-run game but Casey shut the Huskies down to seal the BC win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Huskies got on the board with freshman righty Sean Hughes on the mound in the eighth. Hughes tallied two quick outs before surrendering a walk to Alex Smith. Smith stole second and Justin Fletcher drove him in with a double to left.
- Casey entered the game and got Wood swinging to get out of the inning.
