BC HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
•   In her first collegiate game, freshman Sam Apuzzo registered four goals on eight shots and picked up five ground balls to help lead Boston College to their first win of the season at Boston University Friday afternoon. She and Caroline Margolis, who tallied four goals of her own, were two of the six Eagles to record a multipoint effort in the win.Â
•   Boston College is now 9-8 all-time against Boston University, including having won the last seven games against the Terriers by a combined score of 113-65
•   Boston College is now 14-11 in their season openers and have won eight straight opening day games
•   The Eagles have now won five straight regular season games dating back to last season.
•   Friday's game with BU was the earliest time the two schools had met on the field. Prior to today, eight previous matchups took place in the month of March, six took place in April, and the last two matchups had taken place in May.Â
•   With its 18-9 victory over the Terriers, the Maroon and Gold are now only three wins shy of the program's 200th win, dating back to its first year as a varsity program in 1992.
•   Senior Sarah Mannelly got the Eagles on the board just over a minute into the game with a shot straight on net from 10 feet out. She was the first of eight Eagles to tally at least one point in the win over the Terriers Friday afternoon.
•   Junior goalkeeper Zoe Ochoa got the start in net for the Eagles, playing the first 54:43 of the game. She tallied eight saves before freshman Lauren Daly replaced her.Â

TURNING POINT
•   One minute and 16 seconds into the game, senior midfielder and 2015 Tewaaraton finalist Sarah Mannelly gave her squad the lead on a straight-on shot that beat BU goalkeeper Caroline Meegan. The Eagles never trailed again.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
•   Sarah Mannelly tallied the game's first goal with 28:44 remaining in the first half
•   BC dominated the first half, having built up an 8-0 lead within the game's first 17 minutes. Kayla O'Connor, Mannelly, Apuzzo (x2), Margolis, O'Neill, and Chandler all added goals during that span.Â
•   The Maroon and Gold led 10-4 at the half after Margolis and Apuzzo each added an additional goal prior to halftime.Â
•   The Eagles came out of the half with three straight goals as Mannelly and Margolis (free position) each notched hat tricks while Kara Magley added her first goal, also a free position tally, to increase the Eagles lead to 13-4.
•   Magley, Margolis, Apuzzo, Laura Frankenfield, and Chandler finished off the scoring effort for BC en route to its first win of the season.Â
