Team
- Boston College has now held five straight opponents under 10 points in the first half.
- The Eagles were shut out for the first time under third-year head coach Steve Addazio. The last time BC was shut out was in a 19-0 loss to Virginia Tech on Sept. 25, 2010.
- The Eagles failed to score a rushing touchdown for the first time in nine games.
- The last time Boston College had multiple turnovers was Nov. 8, 2014, against Louisville when the Eagles threw four interceptions.
- Offense
- Sophomore QB Darius Wade completed 4-of-12 passes for 47 yards and an interception, the first of his career. His 37 rushing yards were a career high.
- Sophomore WR Charlie Callinan caught his first reception of the season - 15-yad pass in the fourth quarter - from Wade.
Defense
- After allowing an 83-yard touchdown drive to start the game, the BC defense allowed 134 yards for the remainder of the game.
- The defense held FSU running back Dalvin Cook to 54 yards. Entering tonight, Cook was averaging 211 yards/game. It also snaps a five-game streak of at least 100 yards on the ground for Cook. The last time he was held under 76 yards was Nov. 8, 2014 against Virginia when he recorded 36 yards on 11 carries.
- Sophomore DL Harold Landry led the Eagles with a career-high 11 tackles, including seven solo stops, a career-high 3.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks. He has seven tackles for loss and three sacks on the season. He is also the first Eagle to record double-digit tackles on the year.
- Sophomore DB Issac Yiadom recorded a career-high six tackles.
- Senior LB Steven Daniels records his second tackle for a loss on the season in second quarter.
Special Teams
- Senior punter Alex Howell punted seven times for 335 yards, averaging 47.9 yards per punt. He had a long of 57 and recorded three over 50 yards.
- The last time Howell punted more than seven times was on Oct. 18, 2014 against Clemson when he punted 10 times for 501 yards. The 335 yards was the second-highest total of his career after the Clemson game.
Other
- The 2005 Boston College football team was honored at the end of the first quarter as the Eagles celebrated their 10-year anniversary in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
- Former Minnesota firefighter Jake LaFerriere was awarded the first Red Bandana Hero Award from the American Heroes Channel midway through the second quarter from the parents of former BC lacrosse player Welles Crowther `99, who saved over a dozen lives in the South Tower on Sept. 11, 2001.
- The American Heroes Channel gave out 25,000 red bandannas in honor of Crowther.
