With kickoff against Florida State only one day away, media members write that the Boston College defense will need to continue it's early season dominance to stop the powerful Seminoles, who enter Friday night's game vs. Boston College ranked No.9 in the nation.
A key to stopping that run game of Florida State, writes Eric Avidon of the MetroWest Daily News, are defensive tackles Truman Gutapfel and Connor Wujciak.
Michael Vega of the Boston Globe writes how Friday night's game vs. Florida State will be completely different for the Boston College Eagles, who will be playing not only their first ACC game of the 2015 season, but also their first game against a 2015 FBS team, after their first two opponents of the season were from the FCS.
And as Boston College's offense, defense and special teams units prepare for Florida State, Rich Thompson of the Boston Herald writes that defensive leadership is key for success against the Seminoles.
Boston College and Florida State will kick off on ESPN Friday night at 8 p.m. Many events are planned for the evening, including the annual Red Bandana game, to honor former Boston College lacrosse player Welles Crowther.
