- BC broke the game open in the fifth, scoring nine runs on nine hits and an error to take a 10-0 lead. Adams led off with a double to right field and moved to third on a wild pitch. Sophomore Nick Sciortino plated him with a high chopper over the first baseman's head. Freshman Anthony Maselli drew a walk and Palomaki singled to load the bases and Butera scored them all with a bases-clearing double. That chased starter Jake Marks from the game but RHP Jeff Gelinas did not fare any better. Strem started with a single to right to score Butera and with one down, shortstop Brett Chappell mishandled a grounder off the bat of Hoggarth to put runners on first and second. Freshman Donovan Casey came through with a double to right center, scoring Strem. Adams tallied his second hit of the inning with an RBI single to left to plate Hoggarth. Sciortino followed with his second base hit of the inning to drive in Casey. With two down, Adams and Sciortino moved to second and third on a wild pitch and Palomaki plated the ninth run of the inning on a single to left. New pitch RHP Charlie Butler got Butera to pop out in foul ground to end the inning.
- The Eagles added a run in the sixth and seventh. With two down in the sixth, Hoggarth singled and moved to second on Chappell's second error. Adams plated him with a base hit to left center.
- In the seventh with RHP Connor Johnson throwing, Palomaki drew a one-out walk and Butera was hit by a pitch to put two on. Junior Chris Shaw chopped a two-out single through the right side, scoring Palomaki and giving the Eagles the 12-0 lead.
