Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- The Boston College baseball team will take on Massachusetts in the 25th Beanpot Championship on Wednesday at Fenway Park. The Eagles (21-18) will be looking for their 11th title against the Minutemen (11-15).

Harvard and Northeastern will play in the consolation game at 3 p.m. The Eagles and Minutemen will start 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Tickets will be on sale at Gate D on Yawkey Way for $10 (general admission to both games). Net proceeds benefit the Pete Frates No. 3 Fund.

BC defeated Northeastern, 4-1, on April 8 at Eddie Pellagrini Diamond at Commander Shea Field to advance to the championship. UMass made up a three-run deficit to beat Harvard, 6-5, in Amherst on April 13 to set the finale. UMass will be the home team, determined by a coin flip.

The Eagles lead all four teams with 10 championship titles. The last one came in 2011. This is the first title game the Eagles are playing in since then. The Eagles hold a 32-16-1 in the Beanpot, which dates back to 1990. BC and UMass have each tallied five wins when meeting up in the Beanpot. The two teams battled in the opening round in 2013 in Amherst with the Minutemen coming up with an 11-6 victory.

BC defeated Massachusetts, 11-1, in Northborough, Mass., in the first meeting of the season on April 1. The Eagles launched four home runs in the win, including career firsts for freshmen Scott Braren and Jake Palomaki. Classmate RHP Brian Rapp picked up his first career win, throwing two innings of relief and allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Senior LHP Nick Poore (1-3, 4.76 ERA) will get the start at Fenway Park for BC.
