BC HIGHLIGHTS
· Junior left-handed starter Jesse Adams earned his first career win while tying a career high with eight strikeouts. He did not allow a run, walked just one and gave up four hits over five innings of work. Adams also struck out five in a row between the fourth and fifth, including all three outs in the fifth.
· Freshman Donovan Casey went 5-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs as the designated hitter, tallying his first career hits, runs, RBIs and stolen base. His first career hit was a double in the second.
·Junior Chris Shaw was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run, as he extended his hit streak to six games. He has reached base safely in the last 30 games and recorded at least one hit in 29 of the last 33 games, dating back to 2014.
·Sophomore Michael Strem extended his career-long hit streak to 10 games, dating back to last season, with a double in the second. Seven of his 13 hits have been doubles.
· Junior Joe Cronin was also perfect on the day, going 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
KEY PLAYS
·The Eagles used an eight-run second to take a commanding lead and did not back.
·BC added two runs in the third and two in the fourth to go up, 12-0. The only runs the Bison could muster were in the seventh.
HOW IT HAPPENED
·The BC offense let loose in the second, scoring eight runs on seven hits. Strem started things off with a double and advanced to third on a long fly ball by junior Logan Hoggarth. He scored on a passed ball for BC's first run. Junior Stephen Sauter walked and Casey doubled to put runners on second and third. Sophomore Johnny Adams scored Sauter with an infield single.
·Junior Gabriel Hernandez loaded the bases on a hard hit ball to third, beating the ball to first and senior Blake Butera plated two with a single to left. Cronin and Shaw followed with back-to-back doubles to make it 7-0 Eagles and after Shaw moved to third on a wild pitch, Strem plated him with a groundout to short.
·The Eagles added two more the following inning as Casey singled, stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Hernandez brought him home with a single to left. Adams drew a walk, moved up on the single and stole third. Butera drove him in with a groundout to third.
·BC scored two in the fourth off the bat of Casey. Hoggarth singled and Sauter doubled to put two on. Casey laced one to right center to plate both of his teammates.
· The Bison got on the board in the seventh, scoring two runs off redshirt freshman LHP Kevin Connor. With two down and the bases loaded, Connor walked in a run and hit a batter before he was relieved by senior RHP Eric Stone. Stone forced a grounder to end the inning.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
·The Eagles scored a season-high 12 runs and tallied a season-high 19 hits against the Bison. It marked the second time in 2015 BC tallied at least 15 hits, notching 16 against Xavier on Feb. 14.
·Freshman RHP Kyle Dunster saw his first action on the mound, recording four straight outs.
·Shaw gunned down a runner trying to stretch a double into a triple in the third for his second outfield assist of the season.
·Redshirt junior RHP Geoffrey Murphy saw his first action on the mound since his freshman year in 2012. He injured his arm in his sophomore campaign and faced surgery and rehab. He pitched a 123 ninth, ending the game with a strikeout.
·Stone threw 1.1 innings of scoreless relief without allowing a hit or walk.
· Butera, Strem and Shaw have reached base safely in the first nine games of the season. Strem is the only BC player to have a hit in all nine games.
