BC HOSTS UMASS LOWELL SUNDAY
• Boston College will host UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. inside Conte Forum.
• The game will be streamed on ESPN3 and can be heard on the radio on WEEI 850 AM and bceagles.com.
• Boston College started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2008, but has dropped each of its last four outings.
• The Eagles won the first-ever meeting between the two programs last season in Conte, 70-47.
• Sunday's game for UMass Lowell will be its third road game in four days.
• The River Hawks lost at LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night, 84-72, and they travel to NJIT for a Saturday afternoon contest.
PENN STATE PULLS AWAY IN SECOND HALF
• Senior Dennis Clifford scored a season-high 17 points to go along with six rebounds as Boston College lost to Penn State on Wednesday night, 67-58, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
• He was 6-for-10 from the floor and 5-for-7 from the foul line.
• Freshman A.J. Turner also notched a season high with 15 points and added five boards.
• Freshman Jerome Robinson had a season-high six assists and added seven points.
• Penn State had a 22-15 lead midway through the first half but Boston College cut into that with an 8-2 run that made it a 24-23 game with 6:13 left. Graduate student Eli Carter capped the run with a 3-pointer.
• The Nittany Lions had a five-point lead with 3:10 left, but BC closed out the half by scoring seven of the last eight points to take a 30-29 lead into the break.
• The Eagles started the second half with an 8-2 run to push the lead to 38-31. Clifford scored all eight of those points in the first 2:30.
• BC held a 40-36 lead, but Penn State went on a 10-0 run over 3:16 to take a 46-40 lead at 13:11. Shep Garner had eight of the points.
• Boston College battled back to cut it to 48-47, but Penn State scored seven straight to make it 55-47 with 7:41 left.
• BC only got as close as six points the rest of the way.

• Aaron Brown scored 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting to lead Boston College to a 70-47 win over UMass Lowell on December 29, 2014.
• Brown ignited the decisive second-half run by scoring BC's first eight points after halftime. He scored 13 of the Eagles' first 19 points in the second half.
• Dennis Clifford matched a career high with 19 points, going 9-for-11 from the foul line.
• Olivier Hanlan contributed 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
• Boston College jumped out to a 15-2 lead over the first 3:41. BC hit its first seven shots of the half, including three 3-pointers.
• After the lead reached 19-4, UMass Lowell scored eight unanswered points to cut the deficit to 19-12.
