MXC Competes at New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College men’s cross country team finished 24th at the New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday. The team had a combined score of 661.
Senior Greg Malloy crossed the line first for the Eagles with a time of 25:54. Classmate Michael Mahoney finished second for BC, hitting the tape at 26:16. Sophomore Nick Denari (26:24), senior Pat Daly (26:39) and junior Collin Fedor (26:47) rounded out the team’s top five.
Central Connecticut State University won the meet with a team score of 74, placing five runners in the top 30 overall.
The Eagles are back in action on Oct. 19 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. for the NCAA Pre-Nationals.
