MXC Takes 9th in White Race at Pre-Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Boston College men’s cross country team finished eighth out of 20 teams in the white race at Pre-Nationals on Saturday with a team score of 252.
Freshman Kevin Sullivan led the way for the Eagles, finishing 37th out 135 runners in a time of 25:50. Senior James Newhouse took second for BC, crossing the line at 25:55. Seniors Anthony Bellitti (26:00) and Brian Wolff (26:05), and freshman Brian McDavitt (26:18) rounded out the top five for the team.
The Eagles also had three runners in the open race, Lucas Richard (25:59), James Zingarini (26:11) and Tyler Hanson (26:22).
Ohio University won the team race with a score of 99, placing five runners in the top 26 overall.
BC competes next at the ACC Championships in Kernersville, N.C. on Nov. 1.
