Lacrosse Ranked No. 8 by deBeer Media Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse has moved up two spots in the latest deBeer women's media poll. The Eagles are now ranked at No. 8, according to the first poll of the 2012 regular season.

BC's two-spot jump comes on the heels of a 16-5 victory at Holy Cross on Friday, Feb. 17.

Four other ACC teams are ranked in the deBeer's Top 20. Maryland currently sits at No. 2, while North Carolina and Duke round out the top five at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. Virginia is ranked sixth.

BC returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 21 when the Eagles travel to Syracuse for a 4 p.m. tilt.
