Home games vs. ACC foes Wake Forest, Florida State, NC State and North Carolina highlight the 2009 Boston College football schedule, which was released Thursday.
"Now that the schedule has been released, we can't wait to get going," first-year head coach Frank Spaziani said. "I'm pleased that three of our first four games will be played at home. This certainly will benefit our young team."
The Eagles will open the 2009 season on Sept. 5 in a home game against Northeastern followed by another non-conference game, vs. Kent State, on Sept. 12. BC will begin its quest for a third consecutive ACC Atlantic Division title with a game at Clemson on Sept. 19, then return home for two consecutive ACC games, vs. Wake Forest (Parents' Weekend) and Florida State.
The team will take to the road for a game vs. rival Virginia Tech on Oct. 10, then return home to face NC State on Oct. 17. Two non-conference games follow - at Notre Dame and vs. Central Michigan at home.
Following a game at Virginia on Nov. 14, the team will play its final home game, vs. North Carolina, on Nov. 21. The Eagles will travel to Maryland on Nov. 28 for the regular-season finale.
