Chestnut Hill, Mass.--The Boston College women's lacrosse team announced seniors Meg Davis, Brennan Joyce, Katie Wagoner, and graduate student Elizabeth Kadison as its 2007 captains last week. This is a first-time honor for Davis, Joyce and Wagoner and the second year of captainship for Kadison.
"These four young women have worked very hard throughout their careers at Boston College," Head Coach Bowen Holden says about her captains. "Each of them is eager to guide the Eagles into a 2nd year in the ACC, and each brings a different yet beneficial style of leadership. Together these four will look to make their teammates better, maintain the expected standard of excellence, and work hard to raise the level of play, practice, and leadership within the BC lacrosse program. I am looking forward to seeing their growth throughout the year and watching the impact they will have on their teammates."
Davis (Wyndmoor, Penn.) is a defender who caused two turnovers and tallied one assist during 12 games in 2006. She also recorded four ground balls.
Joyce (Rye, N.Y.) played in 11 games at midfield, scoring one goal, tallying four groundballs, and earning three draw controls.
