CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - - There's a new eagle in town. Dominic Alexis Hughes was born to Boston College head baseball coach Pete Hughes and his wife Debby on January 20, 2001 at 1:48 p.m. Dominic weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces and was 17.5 inches long. The Hughes of Millis, Mass. already have two sons Thomas (4) and Hal (2).
"There is no greater atmosphere to bring up a family then the one that Boston College athletics provides. To have my wife and new baby home and healthy is a great way to start out the season," Hughes said.
