In game one's pitching duel, Sullivan allowed only seven hits in 7.0 innings with two walks and six strikeouts. His Red Storm counterpart, Kevin McGerry, surrendered two earned runs on three hits in 6.0 innings with three strikeouts.
The visitors jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first after Charles Bilezikjian tripled to lead off then scored on Peter Graham's sacrifice fly.

Mike Quirk (Paxton, Mass.) was issued a free pass to load the bases. Langone singled through the left side, scoring Hubbard and advancing the runners. Then Joe Kealty's (Framingham, Mass.) sacrifice fly to center scored Gambino for the game-winning run.
In the nightcap, Langone pitched a complete game, allowing one run on four hits with eight strikeouts in 9.0 innings. BC scored three runs in the first and five in the third and one in the seventh.
