An ECAC qualifier in the 400 IM and 100 freestyle, placing 14th in the 400 IM, earning three points for BC in the seven-point victory over rival UNH...Recipient of HM Groden Award for Outstanding Performance along with the rest of the ECAC team...Won Outstanding Performance against the University of Maine for her effort in the 400 IM...First collegiate first place finish in the 200 IM at Brandeis University...Swam a lifetime best in the 200 butterfly at Colgate University...Earned her second varsity letter...Received the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement. An ECAC qualifier in four events, placed 16th in the 400 IM to give BC one additional point towards its first place finish at the meet...Consistent performer on the "B" freestyle relays during the tough dual meets...Swam a lifetime best in the 200 IM at Princeton Invitational...Scored enough points to secure her first varsity letter...Received Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement. AS A FRESHMAN in 2002-2003:

BEFORE BC:
A four-year member of the Dr. Phillips High School swim and dive team...Member of the 1998 team that set a state record for its fifth consecutive Class 6A State Championship...Finished in 15th place at the State Meet her sophomore year in the 200 freestyle...Participant on the 200 freestyle relay that finished seventh at State her junior year...The District 4 champion in the 200 freestyle her senior season, and went on to earn 13th place at State in the 100 freestyle, ninth place in the 200 freestyle relay, and 10th place in the 400 freestyle relay...Her last three relay efforts earned All-American Consideration...Orlando Sentinel named Martin a member of the All-Metro Conference Team each of her four years of swimming...Also played water polo for three years, earning All-conference honors her sophomore season.
