Josh Rines joined the Eagles’ coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in 2019 after working as an assistant coach for Alto Swim Club in Palo Alto and Stanford, California. Rines is a second year graduate student in Geophysics in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. As a student and a former four-year varsity athlete at Bates College, Rines is excited to help be a part of the continued successes of the student athletes in and out of the pool.
In his time at Bates, Rines held several school records in sprint freestyle and relay events, received Most Improved and Coaches’ awards, served as captain for two years, and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Mathematics and Physics.
