Swimming and Dive Splits Season Opener

DURHAM, N.C. – Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving began its 2025-26 campaign when they competed against Duke, East Carolina, and Marymount.
The women went 0-2, while the men split against Duke and Marymount.
Four freshmen headlined the evening as they all earned their first career victories. Matt Cinque won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:29.52, which is the fifth fastest time in program history. Evan Tack won the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.52, which is the eighth fastest time ever. Palmer Bice won the 100 freestyle in 45.84. Luke Amerson was the fastest in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:51.23.
The Eagles earned seven individual second-place finishes and nine third-place finishes.
