THATCHER DOUGLAS DEMKO; born December 8, 1995…shoots left…attended Vancouver Canucks Development Camp in July 2014…played the 2012-13 season with the United State National Team Development Program in the United States Hockey League…attended Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Played and started in 35 games; missed two games in early January while representing Team USA at the World Junior Championship … went 19-13-3 … registered a 2.19 goals against average and a .925 save percentage; went 12-7-3 with a 2.17 goals against average and a .924 save percentage as the start in all 22 Hockey East contests … tabbed a Hockey East All-Star Honorable Mention … posted the fourth-best save percentage (.925) in Hockey East … picked up his third-career shutout at Notre Dame (2/27) … recorded his fourth-career assist in the season opener at UMass Lowell (10/10) … set a career best in save for the third time in four starts, stopping 41 shots against Michigan (12/13) … stopped 40 shots, second most of his career, in a 6-5 victory over Vermont (2/14) … anchored BC’s defense with 32 saves in a game one win of the HEA quarterfinals against Vermont (3/13)…stopped 22 shots in game two of the HEA quarterfinals against Vermont (3/14)…steered away 22-of-23 Vermont attempts in game three against Vermont of the HEA quarterfinals (3/15).
