Dom Cuono is entering his third season as a Defensive Graduate Assistant for the Boston College Football program, working closely with the Eagles’ outside linebackers and defensive linemen.
In 2025, the Eagles defensive line generated 23 tackles for loss and 10 total sacks. Under Cuono’s guidance, redshirt senior Sedarius McConnell posted a career-high 2.5 sacks, which led the team. In addition, redshirt senior Quintayvious Hutchins totaled a pair of sacks in 2025, the second-highest sack total he’s had in five seasons as an Eagle.
In 2024, Cuono oversaw the growth of first-round draft pick Donovan Ezeiruaku, who led the nation in sacks at 1.38 per game, while tying the BC single-season record at 16.5, which led all FBS players in the regular season. Ezeiruaku earned ACC Defensive Player of the Year and the Ted Hendricks Award as college football’s top defensive end. Ezeiruaku also became the 13th consensus All-American in BC history with first-team honors from the AP, AFCA and Sporting News plus second-team honors from the Walter Camp Foundation.
Prior to his arrival on The Heights, Cuono coached high school football at the Carrollwood Day School outside of Tampa, Fla. Before getting into coaching, Cuono played linebacker at Pittsburgh for four years (2014-18).
