Ty-Meer Brown is in his first season as a member of the Boston College football staff as defensive graduate assistant. He played his final year as a defensive back at The Heights in 2014.

Brown transferred to Boston College after completing his undergraduate degree at Connecticut in 2013. He played in all 13 games in 2014, starting the final six, and tied for sixth on the team with 43 tackles, including 29 solo stops. He was a member of the BC defense that ranked second in the nation, allowing just 94.5 rushing yards per game. Brown registered a season-high nine tackles in the victory at Virginia Tech and notched seven, five unassisted, at No. 1 Florida State, and intercepted Jameis Winston. He earned the Athletics Director’s Award for Academic Achievement while an Eagle.

The McKeesport, Pa., native started the first seven games of the 2013 season at UConn before an injury sidelined him. That season he notched 51 tackles and racked up a career-high 12 against No. 21 UCF. He earned his first letter in 2011, playing all 12 games and starting the last seven at safety.
