Ashley Tango is entering her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Boston College field hockey program.
Tango comes to the Heights after an outstanding collegiate playing career at Babson College. One of the top players in the country, Tango was a three-time All-American (2016-18). She finished her career at Babson as one of 17 players in Division III history to surpass 50 career goals and 50 career assists.
The list of accolades for Tango is lengthy. Originally from Reading, Mass. Tango finished her career at Babson as one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history. A three-time first team All-New England selection and a two-time NEWMAC Player of the Year, she was invited to the 2018 United States Field Hockey national team camp.
Tango also played softball at Babson, finishing her career with a batting average better than .300. As a junior, she registered a career high .336 batting average while recording 44 hits, including 11 doubles in 43 games played.
She earned her bachelors degree in 2019 in business administration, management, and operations from Babson.
