In his first minor league season, he went 2-2 with a 1.98 ERA and struck out 31 in the New York-Penn League. He put together one of his best seasons in 2011, working his way from rookie ball to triple-A with the Salt Lake City Bees, the affiliate of the LA Angels of Anaheim. Over the course of the summer, he recorded a 2.29 ERA with 59 strikeouts. In his final season - 2012 - he went 1-2 with a 6.26 ERA over 41.2 innings for the Bees, striking out 38. While at Boston College, Meyer compiled a 4.38 ERA while recording 83 strikeouts. As a junior, he led the Eagles in appearances with 28, making four starts, registering a 2-2 record. He recorded one save and allowed just 12 extra-base hits - 10 were doubles - out of 50 allowed. In his second year at the Heights, he made six appearances including four starts, finished the season with a 2-1 record and allowed only four extra-base hits - all doubles - in 22.0 innings. As a freshman, Meyer appeared in six games, hurling 8.2 innings. He made his collegiate debut against La Salle on March 2, 2004, striking out all three batters he faced.
