Women's Golf Begins Season at Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. — The Boston College women's golf team will start the 2026-2027 season on the road as they travel down to Hanahan, S.C. to compete in the Cougar Classic from Sept. 7-8. This will be the third consecutive year the Eagles will compete in the tournament hosted by the College of Charleston and the 22nd annual year of the event.
Last season, Boston College finished in the middle of the pack at the Cougar Classic. Former Eagle Tiffany Cao led the way shooting 3-under-par with an impressive second round, and placing tied for 10th. Cynthia Zhang shot 1-under-par, placing T-17 and starting off the tournament strong.
Yeamans Hall Club, "a time capsule in Charleston," was built in 1925 and is ranked as a top course in the state of South Carolina. The course scenery has a lot to offer with a beautiful woods landscape and waterways on the outside. It is a course that includes the best parts of the game and one that creates the perfect challenges.
Round one of competition will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
