Eagles Conclude Cougar Classic on Tuesday

HANAHAN, S.C. — The Boston College Women's Golf team completed the Cougar Classic, finishing in 16th place, shooting 29-over par. Frances Kim led the way for the Eagles with an even score throughout the three-round event.
Kim finished T15 overall in the tournament with her best round coming in the second (3-under-par 68). She shot 1-over-par 72 in the first round and finished the tournament with a score of 2-over-par 73 in the final round. Kim shot even on Par-3 and 2-under on Par-5 holes.
The second round was also the best for Joyce Zhang as she shot 1-over-par 72. Zhang totaled four birdies, a round three score of 3-over-par 74, and shot 8-over par for a T59 finish.
Juliette Demeaux, T67, saw her best round come to open the tournament, shooting 2-over-par 73. Demeaux finished with three birdies in the final round, where she shot 5-over-par 76 and was even on Par-5 holes.
Jun Xi Guo concluded day two with her best round of the tournament at 2-over-par 73 with six total birdies and a T77 placement. The freshman finished 1-under on Par-5 holes.
Rounding out the Eagles lineup, Ana Lucia Trevino (T81) improved on her day one scores with a 4-over-par 75 round three. She shot a 76 in both rounds on day one.
Boston College now looks ahead to Sept. 21 as they host the Red Bandanna Invitational at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass.
