Eagles Return to Kentucky for NCAA East First Round

Four athlete groups look to qualify for NCAA Championships in Oregon

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass – Imogen Gardiner, Natalie Millerova, Sydney Segalla, Anna Sonsini, Anna Becker and Gina Certo are set to compete in the 2026 NCAA East First Round, hosted at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex. Action is set to take place from May 27-30, as all will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships in mid-June.

Four athlete groups will represent Boston College at the NCAA East First Round Championships across Thursday and Saturday evening. Millerova and Gardiner will open with the 1500m at 6:30 p.m. EST Thursday, followed Segalla in the 400m at 8:20 p.m. EST. Both groups will look to qualify Saturday's quarterfinals. On Saturday, Gardiner will also attempt the 5000m semifinal at 8:10 p.m. EST, and the 4x400 relay team of Becker, Certo, Segalla and Sonsini at 8:45 p.m. EST.

Gardiner and Segalla have led the Eagles throughout this outdoor season, breaking school records in the 400m and 1500m, while adding top-10 program marks in the 200m, 5000m, 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Both athletes along with the traveling group look to become the first Boston College athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championships 2024, and for the first time in their collegiate careers.
