Eagles Set for Penn Relays

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Women's Track and Field team continues the back half of its regular season schedule, as they take on the Penn Relays from April 23-25. The three-day meet is available to stream on FloTrack.

The Eagles showed out across all three meets this past weekend, recording three school records and several top-ten program marks. Sydney Segalla kicked things off at the Tom Jones Memorial, where she smashed her own school record in the 400m by over a second with a time of 51.36. She, along with Anna Sonsini, Gina Certo, and Anna Becker, then set a school record in the 4x400m, running a 3:33.35. At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Imogen Gardiner broke the 1500m school record after running a 4:10.77 for a top 15 finish.

Boston College added top-10 program marks from Certo (400m), Kyra Holland (5000m), and Molly FitzPatrick (10,000m).

At last year's Penn Relays, the Eagles recorded multiple top-10 finishes in relay events. The women's 4x400m relay team, which included Sonsini, Becker, and Kylee Bernard, recorded the third-fastest time in program history, 3:41.44. Sonsini and Becker, along with Hanna Hollins, competed in the sprint medley relay, setting a school record with a time of 3:58.00.
