CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College Men's golf team returns to action on Monday, March 9 at the Surf Club Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State. The tournament will be contested at the Surf Golf & Beach Club in N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with 19 teams competing over the two-day event.
The Surf Golf & Beach Club is a classic coastal golf course located just inland from the Atlantic Ocean in North Myrtle Beach. Opened in 1960 and designed by renowned architect George Cobb, the course is one of the oldest on the Grand Strand and has long been known for its traditional layout and Southern hospitality.
The par-72 course stretches roughly 6,800 yards and winds through a scenic parkland setting of towering pines, live oaks, and natural water features. Precision and shot-making are key, as the layout features doglegs, strategically placed bunkers, and multi-tiered greens that reward accuracy while challenging golfers of all skill levels.
