ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The Boston College Men's Golf team concluded the first day of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational Friday afternoon, shooting 6-over par.
William Musson shot a 1-under-par 71 in the first round to lead the way for the Eagles in a very strong field. The senior finished the first 18 holes with three birdies and is tied for 24th place.
Tony Yin shot a 73 in round one with four total birdies and is tied for 46th place. Senior Markus Lam finished with a 74 in the first round of the invitational with two birdies, which were recorded on the second and ninth holes.
Freshman Thomas Wang finished fourth for the Eagles, shooting a 4-over-par 76 and tallying five birdies. Wang is currently tied for third in the field on Par-3 holes (-1). While Kieran Low finished with a 78 in the round, he started off the invitational with an eagle, one of three overall thus far.
Round two for the Eagles will commence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, starting on hole one.
