Women’s team adds two additional program marks at Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – The 4x100 relay team collected the first school record of the outdoor season for Boston College, as the women's track and field team concluded action at the Raleigh Relays Saturday afternoon.
Raleigh Relays
- Run by Anna Sonsini, Sydney Segalla, Gina Certo and Ava Carter, the relay team recorded a time of 45.99 to finish fifth overall. It's the first time any 4x100 relay team has run sub-46 in the event
- Boston College's sprint group concluded action at the Raleigh Relays with the 200m. Segalla was the highest placing finisher, taking second after running a 23.26. Anna Sonsini was the other Eagle to earn a top ten finish, finishing seventh with a time of 24.09
- Gina Certo (24.69) and Ava Carter (24.98) both recorded top 10 program marks in the 200m. Certo's time put her 35th overall at the Relays and fourth all-time, while Carter finished 58th with the ninth fastest time in school history
Next Up: The Eagles continue action in the Northeast, competing at the UConn Dog Fight on Saturday, April 4.
