Women's Fencing Wraps Up Regular Season with Miller Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Boston College Women's Fencing team competed in its final event of the regular season at the Miller Invitational on the campus of UNC.
The Eagles competed against Duke, Penn State, UNC, Temple, and Notre Dame.
The women's team went 2-3 against the competition. Saber went 3-2, foil went 2-3, and epee went 2-3. They fell to the Blue Devils in round one, 15-12, and won the epee while falling in saber and foil. They defeated the Nittany Lions, 21-6, in round two with all three weapons sweeping. In round three, the Eagles lost to the Tar Heels, 11-16, and dropped all three weapons in close battles. In round four, Boston College defeated the Owls, 18-9, with all three weapons sweeping. In the final match of the day, the Eagles fell 19-8 to Notre Dame, with all three weapons falling. The Boston College women will return to action in two weeks at the ACC Championships.
