Beanpot Championship: The 300th Battle of Comm Ave

BC looks to win first Beanpot since 2016
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The 300th Battle of Comm Ave is set to take place on Monday evening as No. 11 Boston College and Boston University meet for the Beanpot Championship at 7:30 p.m. inside TD Garden. The game can be watched on NESN (New England), NHL Network (Outside New England), ESPN+ (Outside New England) and TSN3 (Canada) along with a radio broadcast on WEEI 850 AM.
SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles are 15-9-1 overall. BC advanced to the Beanpot Championship after defeating Harvard by a score of 5-1 in the first round
• The Terriers are 13-13-2 overall. BU skated to a 2-2 tie against Northeastern in the first round and won the shootout to advance to the championship game
• BC is ranked No. 11 in the USCHO.com poll and No. 13 in the USA Hockey poll

• Boston College has won 20 Beanpot Championships with the last time being in 2016. The Eagles are 84-60-1 all-time in Beanpot games

A LOOK AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY
• The Terriers are coming off a 3-2 overtime victory over Maine on Friday evening
• Cole Hutson leads BU in points (25) and assists (17)
• Cole Eiserman has a team-high 11 goals
• Sacha Boisvert, Gavin McCarthy, and Owen McLaughlin each have 11 assists
• Aiden Celebrini and McCarthy both have 51 blocks
