Clearwater, Fla. - The Boston College Softball team dropped both games on the second day of the NFCA Leadoff Classic losing to both Tennessee, 6-0, and Southeastern Louisiana, 10-1 on Saturday.

Game 1 - BC 0 | UT 6

The Eagles held Tennessee scoreless through the first two innings behind a strong start from Bailey Kendziorski, who worked the first four innings in the circle before Emily Van Cleef came on in relief to close out the contest.

Offensively, Kiley Buckley sparked the Eagles in the fifth with a double down the left-field line, and Adriana Martinez followed with a single to left to advance Buckley to third.

After being limited to two runs through five innings, Tennessee pulled away late, scoring two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to secure the victory over Boston College.

Game 2 - BC 1 | SLU 10 | 5 inn.

Boston College faced Southeastern Louisiana in the second game of the day, with the Lions jumping out to an early lead by scoring five runs in the opening inning.

Nicole Riddell recorded her first collegiate hit in her first career start, singling up the middle in the second inning. The Eagles' offense then came alive in the bottom of the third. Janis Espinoza opened the frame with a single to left, followed by a slap down the left-field line by Sammy Horn to put runners on first and second. Abby Ptak added a base hit to load the bases, and Buckley worked a hard-fought walk to force in a run, prompting Southeastern Louisiana to go to the bullpen to escape the inning.

Southeastern Louisiana ultimately went on to score 10 runs in the contest, ending the game in the fifth inning.
