Lacrosse Falls in Double Overtime to Michigan

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse fell to Michigan in double overtime, 10-9, on Saturday afternoon in the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational hosted by 285 Lacrosse at Morehouse College.
The Eagles are 0-3, while the Wolverines improve to 3-1.
Shea Dolce turned in her best performance of the season with a season-high 13 saves and a .565 save percentage.
Molly Driscoll led the offense with four points (2 goals, 2 assists), and Marissa White tallied a goal and two helpers for three points. The tandem was two of the four players who notched two goals. Giulia Colarusso scored both of her goals in the second half, and Devon Russell and Kylee Colbert scored twice as well.
BC's offense started off slow in the first half, which led to a 5-2 advantage at the break for the Wolverines. After Michigan captured a 6-2 lead in the third period, the offense came alive when Driscoll started a 4-0 run to tie up the contest. The junior found Russell for the game-tying score to cap off the surge.
After Michigan responded with a goal of its own, Colbert tied up the game before Colarusso gave BC its first lead of the day at 8-7 going into the fourth period.
The Wolverines scored two straight to reclaim the lead with 5:57 left in the game. Colarusso came through once again when her second score tied up the contest at 9 apiece minutes later. Dolce came through with a timely save with 2:06 left in regulation, leading to a tie score going into overtime. She also came up with a timely stop in the first overtime that led to an extra five minutes.
Michigan edged BC in the second overtime when Ceci Stein scored with four seconds left.
BC returns to action on Tuesday when it faces Florida State at 12 p.m. in Tallahassee. Â
