Aidan Shaw records season high 10 points, Luka Toews adds career-high eight assists
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College took on Florida State on the road Tuesday evening, falling 80-72. Four players reached double-digits, led by Fred Payne with 22 points. Aidan Shaw added a season-high 10 points and Luka Toews dished a career-high eight assists.

FIRST HALF
- Both teams scored early on, trading a pair of three-pointers to open the contest. Fred Payne and Chase Forte each contributed three in the first half
- BC came out of the media timeout hot, scoring seven straight points to make it 15-8 and force a Florida State timeout. Aidan Shaw capped off the spurt with a backdoor dunk
- Chase Forte continued the scoring run, connecting on back-to-back threes to extend the lead to 21-8 at the 12-minute media timeout
- The Seminoles would cut the deficit in half, but the Eagles responded with a pair of Payne three-pointers and a Shaw slam dunk to build a 14-point cushion with 6:20 remaining
- Each side went back and forth, trading scores till the final buzzer of the half
- Boston College held a 42-32 lead going into halftime
- BC came out with three pointers from Payne and Boden Kapke, keeping the lead at double-digits through the opening minutes
- FSU countered with a 7-2 scoring run before a Jayden Hastings dunk put the Eagles up 61-49 midway through the half
- The hosts then went on a 19-7 scoring run in a 5:30 stretch to level the contest at 68-68 at the final media timeout
- Florida State would hold on in the final seconds, taking an 80-72 decision
- Fred Payne scored 22 points to lead the Eagles and continue his double-digit scoring streak
- Chase Forte (14), Luka Toews (14), and Aidan Shaw (10) all added double-digit performances. Shaw's 10 is a season-high
- Jayden Hastings and Aidan Shaw each registered three blocks
- Luka Toews added a career-high eight assists
- Boston College moves to 2-11 in ACC play and 9-17 in the regular season
- The Eagles' all-time series record against Florida State is now 16-10
- Boston College travels to Dallas, Texas, to take on the Mustangs on Saturday, Feb. 21

- Saturday's meeting will be the 3rd overall meeting between the Eagles and the Mustangs, with the first meeting taking place on Dec. 19, 1986, in Tokyo, Japan

- BC fell short in the most recent matchup with SMU, 103-77, during the 2024-25 season at Conte Forum
