Payne leads Eagles with 20 points, Asemota tallies career-high 10 points and three blocks

DALLAS, Texas - Boston College fell to SMU on the road, 94-70, Saturday evening. Fred Payne led the team with 20 points, while Jason Asemota recorded career-highs in points (10) and blocks (3).

FIRST HALF

Boden Kapke and Fred Payne drained corner three pointers to keep the game within one score in the opening minutes for BC
Chase Forte and Luka Toews followed suit with three pointers of their own to take a 12-11 edge with 14:21 left in the half
Both sides traded the lead, then connected on a combination of paint points and threes. The Mustangs held a one-point lead at the eight-minute media mark
BC took advantage right before the four-minute media, as Jason Asemota scored back-to-back three's to give the visitors a 36-29 lead
SMU followed with an 11-0 run to close out the half, holding a 40-36 advantage going into halftime

SECOND HALF

The game stayed within two possessions before SMU used an 8-0 run to make it a double-digit lead with 14:24 remaining
Kapke and Asemota added physical slam dunks midway through the second half
