January 23, 2026 | Men's Hockey
Letourneau finishes with three points; J. Hagens and Vote each record two points
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 15/14 Boston College men's hockey team got back into the win column with a 5-2 victory over New Hampshire on Friday evening at Kelley Rink. Dean Letourneau led the way with three points on two goals and one assist, while James Hagens and Will Vote each finished with two points. Andre Gasseau and Jake Sondreal both scored once. Louka Cloutier made 23 saves, including 12 in the third period, to pick up the win.
Boston College improves to 12-8-1 overall and 8-5-0 in Hockey East while New Hampshire moves to 11-11-0 overall and 5-7-0 in league play.
The Eagles wasted little time getting out in front as Gasseau redirected a shot by Aram Minnetian into the back of the net.
The Wildcats responded less than one minute later with a power play goal from Nick Ring from just outside the crease.
BC regained its lead minutes later with a power play goal of its own, coming from Letourneau. Luka Radivojevic found J. Hagens on the right side, who immediately found Letourneau in the slot for the one-timer into the back of the net to put the Eagles up 2-1.
UNH tied it for the second time on the night when Cy LeClerc followed up on a loose puck and shot it past Cloutier into the top corner to tie the game at 2-2.
Boston College jumped back out in front midway through the second period when Letourneau centered a pass for Sondreal at the back post for the tap-in.
The Eagles doubled their lead early in the final period. Shortly after killing off a UNH power play, J. Hagens forced a turnover in the neutral zone and carried the puck towards goal before going five-hole past the goaltender and put the Eagles ahead 4-2.
Letourneau capped off the game with an empty net goal for his second of the night to lead the Eagles to a 5-2 win over the Wildcats.
