Sonsini and Segalla Set School Records at Beantown Challenge

Seven other Eagles record top-10 all time marks
CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Boston College Women's Track & Field returned to the track in style, as Anna Sonsini and Sydney Segalla recorded school records in the 60m and 500m at the Beantown Challenge at Harvard Saturday afternoon.

Next Up: Boston College is back next weekend for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Saturday, January 24.

- Sonsini opened the meet by improving on her personal best in the 60m prelim, finishing this overall with a 7.55. She would go on to extend her record by running a 7.53 in the 60m final, placing third.
- Ava Carter tied the second fastest 60m in women's program history with a 7.75, while Gina Certo ran a 7.76 for the fourth fastest time in school history. Anna Becker rounded out the 60m with a personal best of 7.83, tying her for seventh on the all-time list.
- Ellie Buckley led the Eagles in the mile, finishing 12th place with a time of 5:08.22. Kylie Wild followed close behind, finishing 17th place at 5:11.49.
- Yaroslava Yalysovetska was the highest finisher in the 600m, crossing the line at 1:34.06 for second place. Kyra Holland (1:34.63) and Claire Crowley (1:36.98) recorded the fourth and fifth-fastest times in program history.
- Segalla grabbed her second school record of the indoor season, running a 1:11.31 in the 500m to win the event. Kyla Palmer finished third at 1:14.51, the ninth fastest time on the all-time list.
- Hanna Hollins took fourth place in the 1000m, crossing the line at 2:48.99. Her time ranks her eighth all-time in program history.
Next Up: Boston College is back next weekend for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Saturday, January 24.
