Four Eagles score in double digits
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Boston College fell to No. 20 Louisville Saturday afternoon by a score of 75-62 at the KFC Yum! Center. Fred Payne led all scorers with 22 points, while three other Eagles contributed double-digit performances.

- Luka Toews opened the scoring with a transition three-pointer. He added two more pull-up jumpers to make his point tally seven at the first media
- Fred Payne added a floater and mid-range jumpshot to BC's lead to 19-13 at 11:27
- The Cardinals cut the deficit to five before Boden Kapke used a thunderous transition dunk to silence the crowd. Donald Hand Jr. followed with a top-of-the-key three to give the Eagles a 34-24 lead, their largest of the game
- Louisville closed the final 2:49 with a 6-0 run to cut it to single digits
- BC entered the half with a 34-30 lead
- BC opened with back-to-back buckets in the opening minute, and would stretch its lead to nine with a Fred Payne three at 18:22
- Louisville responded with a 9-0 run to even the score at 41-41. Caleb Steger reclaimed the Eagles' lead with a pull-up midrange shot at 14:14
- Both teams exchanged the lead midway through the half, with the score remaining tied at 53 heading into the eight-minute media timeout.
- From there, the hosts gained control, using a 14-3 run to stretch their lead to double digits and maintaining the advantage until the final buzzer.

- Fred Payne's 22 points are the third time in the last four games he has surpassed 20+ points
