
Eagles Play to Scoreless Draw with Cornell

NEWTON, Mass. - The Boston College women's soccer team and Cornell University played to a 0-0 draw on Friday evening.
With this result, the Eagles improved their record to 2-0-1, while Cornell's record stands at 0-0-1.
Sophomore Ashley Roberts led all Boston College players with four shot attempts, while fellow sophomore Amalia Dray made two shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Olivia Shippee recorded two saves, earning her first career shutout. She has now extended her shutout streak to 233 minutes to start her junior season.
Roberts nearly scored the winning goal in the 88th minute when she maneuvered past the goalkeeper, but her shot went wide to the left of an open net.
Boston College remains unbeaten at home, holding a record of 2-0-1.
The Eagles are set to embark on their first road trip on Monday, traveling to Champaign, Illinois, to face the University of Illinois at 7 p.m. on Big Ten+.
