August 12, 2025 | Softball
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Head softball coach Beth Krysiak has announced Boston native Matt Burke as the newest assistant coach.
"I'm honored and excited to be joining the Boston College softball program. Growing up, I attended BC events and was inspired by the tradition and pride the community has for the school. To now have the opportunity to coach here, so close to home, is truly special. I look forward to being part of something great at a university that has meant so much to me."
The newest addition to the staff comes to the Heights after serving as the Director of Player Development and Operations at Pittsburgh for the 2025 season.Â
"We're thrilled to welcome Matt Burke to our Boston College Softball coaching staff. Matt's ACC experience, combined with his expertise in a technological side of player development will be invaluable as we continue to elevate our program," Krysiak said. "We're especially excited to bring him back home to Boston to be an Eagle!"
Before Pitt, Burke spent the 2024 season as a graduate manager for the Ole Miss softball program. During his season in Oxford, the Rebels earned their eighth consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championship as the No. 3 seed in the Lafayette Regional.Â
Prior to arriving in Oxford, Burke spent the 2023 season as a member of Coach Allard's staff at Harvard, serving as the program's director of operations during a season in which they claimed the Ivy League Championship and made the NCAA Tournament.
Burke also spent four years working with the Cape Cod Baseball League where he was an operations intern for the 2018 Falmouth Commodores in addition to working for three sports data companies.
A 2021 graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in Sports Management, Burke also received an MBA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University (Miami) in 2022.
