
Lacrosse Coaching Staff Named IWLCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College lacrosse coaching staff was named the IWLCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
It's the third straight season the Eagles have won an IWLCA Coaching Staff award.
The staff is led by Schiller Family Head Coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein, associate head coach Jen Kent, assistant coaches Sam Apuzzo, Callahan Kent, and graduate assistant, Emily McDermott.
Boston College finished the season with a 19-3 mark with an eighth straight trip to the NCAA semifinals and a third consecutive appearance in the ACC title. The Eagles started the season with a 13-0 mark en route to a program-record 21-game win streak.
The Eagles finished the season third in the nation in scoring offense (17.05), second in scoring defense (7.73), assists (9.41), first in save percentage (.550), and second in GAA.
No less than six Eagles were named an All-American through IWLCA, IlWomen.com, and USA Lacrosse. Shea Baker (Defender), Shea Dolce (Goalkeeper), and Rachel Clark (Attack) were named ACC Players of the Year, giving BC three conference players of the year for a second straight season.
Coach J. Kent helped guide the defense to the second-best scoring defense at just 7.73 goals per game, ranking third in the nation. Shea Baker was named the ACC Defender of the Year, giving BC back-to-back ACC Defensive Players of the Year. The defense held opponents to 10 or fewer goals in 17 of 22 contests and two players in Baker and Lydia Colasante were named All-ACC.
Leading the offense, Apuzzo helped the Eagles to the third-highest scoring offense in the nation at 17 goals per game. Three players in Clark, Emma LoPinto (113 points) and Mckenna Davis (105 points). She also coaches the draw team, led by Abbey Herod, who became the first player since 2022 to post at least 100 draw controls. She earned All-ACC honors and All-American honorable mention.Â
C. Kent's guidance continued to help Dolce turn into one of the top goalies in the country, as she led the nation with a .550 save percentage and 202 saves. She was named the ACC Goalkeeper of the Year, the IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year, and a Tewaaraton finalist, becoming the first goalie since 2021 to make the top five.
Dolce became one of two players in BC history to post 200-plus saves in a season, while her 496 saves are third in program history.
Since 2017, BC leads the nation with 158 wins, has two national titles since 2021, and a pair of ACC championships since 2023.
