
NCAA Regionals Begin on Monday for Zhang

Due to expected inclement weather, golfers will play 36 holes on Monday at Jimmie Austin G.C.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Beginning on Monday morning, Cynthia Zhang will compete at the Norman Regional of the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf Championship.
Due to expected inclement weather, golfers will play 36 holes on Monday and the field will play 36 holes on Monday, with a 15-minute break between rounds. Â Depending on conditions, the final 18-hole round set for Tuesday or Wednesday. Â Zhang is set to tee off at 10:20 a.m. ET (9:20 a.m. local time) from the first hole.
The Norman regional will be held at the Jimmie Austin Golf Club, on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Â It features rolling hills, native grasses and majestic Bur Oaks. Â In 2023, Golfweek named "The Jimmie" the No. 6 Campus Golf Course in the country, and No. 1 in the Southeastern Conference.Â

The course has hosted the 2013 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship and NCAA Regional Championships in 2012, 2018, 2022, 2023 (men's) and 2013, 2019, and 2025 (women's).
Each regional site will feature six individuals and 12 teams. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site will advance to compete in the NCAA Championship to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.Â
