NORMAN, Okla. -- Cynthia Zhang finished tied for 47th at the 2025 NCAA Regional, held at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Â
Zhang finished with a three-round score of 226 (73-71-82). Â She was at even-par (144) through the opening two rounds of play, held on Monday. Â Due to inclement weather, golfers played both the first and second round that day. Â Zhang opened championship play with a 1-over 73 in the morning, followed by a 1-under 71 during the afternoon round. Â During the second round, Zhang was bogey-free for the final 10 holes, logging birdies on two of the last three holes.Â
The third and final round was delayed due to lightning and Zhang was able to get through 12 holes before the round was suspended due to darkness. Â She completed regional play on Wednesday morning.
  Â
Zhang was among the six golfers selected to compete in the Normal regional as an individual. Â Her selection marked the first time a BC women's golfer earned a spot in the field of the national championship tournament since 2017, when Lois Kaye Go advanced to the Lubbock Regional, finishing in a tie for 32nd place (73-76-73=222). Â Isabel Southard was the first Eagle to make an appearance in the NCAA's; she finished tied for 66th (77-75-74=226) at the Auburn regional in 2013.
