Kim Leads Eagles After Day One of Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. — The Boston College Women's Golf team has concluded the first two rounds of the Cougar Classic. The Eagles currently sit in 15th place at 18-over-par.
Frances Kim led the Eagles in both the first and second round, shooting 1-over-par 72 and then 3-under-par 68 to close out day one. Kim recorded five birdies in round two and goes into the third round tied for seventh-place.
Joyce Zhang currently sits second for the Eagles and tied T47 overall. Zhang got better as the day went on, finishing with a second round score of 1-over-par 72. Also T47, Juliette Demeaux totaled three birdies and shot par 25 times in the first two rounds. Both golfers are currently shooting 5-over par.
Ana Lucia Trevino shot 5-over-par 76 in both rounds with three total birdies. She is currently shooting 10-over par. Jun Xi Guo made her collegiate debut improving in the second round as she shot 5-over-par 76.
The Eagles will finish Cougar Classic play Tuesday, Sept. 8 with a final third round.
