Sonsini and Fadil Earn School Records as Track & Field Competes at Three Meets

The Eagles earn 12 top-10 performances in school history as they competed in three meets over the weekend
STANFORD, Calif. – Boston College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams earned two school records and 12 top-10 performances in school history as they competed in three meets over the weekend.Â
The Eagles took part in the Stanford Invitational on April 4-5 in Stanford, Calif., while also competing in the UConn Dog fight Storrs, Conn. and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco, Calf. on April 4.Â
Stanford Invitational
Ella Fadil earned a school record time of 33:38.38 on Friday nights in the Women's 10,000m race as she placed 28th overall. Fadil broke the previous school record time by four seconds, which was set back in 2015
Roshni Singh placed ninth overall in section 2 of the Women's 5000m with her time of 15:56.03. Singh's time now puts her at fifth all-time in school history.Â
Molly Hudson earned fifth place in the Women's 800m on Saturday as she raced to a time of 2:05.76, which puts her at sixth all-time in school history.Â

Aoife Dunne put her name in the record books as she now sits at ninth all-time in school history for the Women's 1500m with her time of 4:20.11.Â

UConn Dog Fight Invite
The Eagles earned nine top-10 performances in school history, as well as four first place finishes on Friday afternoon at the UConn Dog Fight Invite on the campus of the University of Connecticut.Â
Anna Sonsini broke the school record for the Women's 100m as she earned a time of 11.67. Sonsini also took first place in the Women's 200m event as she crossed the finish line at 23.98, which puts her at No. 2 all-time in BC history.Â
Anna Becker finished just behind Sonsini in the Women's 200m with a time of 24.37, which now moves her into fourth all-time in school history. Kylee Bernard finished eighth overall with a time of 24.86, which is good for 10th all-time.Â
Colin Kravitz took the top spot in the Men's 200m with his time of 21.27, while Max McQuide placed third overall and Max Deane placed fourth. McQuide's time of 21.44 puts him at No. 5 all-time and Deane's time of 21.55 puts him at No. 8 all-time.Â
Kravitz and Deane placed seventh and eight respectively in the Men's 100m race, while both earned top-10 performances in school history. Kravitz moved into third all-time with his time of 10.73, while Deane sits just behind at fourth all-time with 10.73.Â
Morgan Champi finished third overall in the Women's Hammer Throw with a mark of 50.40m, which earned her a PR. Champi now sits at No. 2 all-time in school history after her performance on Friday.
Emily Rohan placed top-five in the Women's Javelin Throw with a mark of 40.07m. Rohan moved her name up the BC record book as she now sits at No. 5 all-time in school history.

Mike Fanelli Track Classic
Hanna Hollins and Amelia Van Brabant were the two Eagles to compete at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on Friday in San Francisco, Calif. Both athletes took part in the Women's 1500m competition.Â
Hollins placed fourth in section 4 with a time of 4:34.38, while Van Brabant competed in section 10 and placed 11th overall with a time of 4:54.13.

Up next: The Eagles will have next weekend off before competing in three meets over the span of April 17-19. BC will travel to the Wake Forest Invitational on April 17-18, while also competing at the Sean Collier Invitational and the Virginia Challenge on April 18-19.Â
