Track & Field Earns Three School Records at Penn Relays

Boston College competed at the 129th Penn Relays over the span of April 24-25 in Philadelphia, Pa.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Boston College Track & Field earned three school records at the 2025 Penn Relays, which were held at Franklin Field over the span of April 24-26.Â
The Eagles compiled three school records and three top-10 performances in school history at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Boston College was joined by some of the top teams and individual runners from across the country at the 129th running of the historic Penn Relays. This marked the first time since 2023 that the Eagles participated at this event.Â
Thursday
Aoife Dunne started the meet off strong for BC as she finished third overall in the Women's 1500m race with a time of 4:12.99. Dunne's time also earns her the school record, which bests her previous personal-best time of 4:14.15. Molly Hudson (4:18.12 ) and Natalie Millerova (4:20.73) both finished in the top-25 of the race as they finished 12th and 24th respectively.
The Eagles continued the momentum into the night as Theodor Schucht competed in the Men's 5000m race and earned BC's second school record of the weekend. Schucht finished with a time of 13:48.90, which breaks the previous school record time by over four seconds. Patrick Mulryan finished 27th overall in the Men's 5000m race and earned a time of 14:10.24, which puts him at No. 7 all-time in school history.
Friday
The Women's DMR group of Yasmine Abbes, Aliyah Canty, Natalie Millerova, Abby Loveys took first place in the afternoon session with a time of 11:20.07. The relay group now sits at No. 5 all-time in school history.Â
The Eagles followed up with another top-10 performance in school history as the Women's 4x400m relay group of Kylee Bernard, Anna Sonsini, Aoife Dunne, and Anna Becker now sit at No. 3 all time with their time of 3:41.44.Â
Emily Rohan was the lone Eagle to compete in a field event, as she placed 23rd overall in the Women's Javelin Throw with a mark of 34.79m.Â
Boston College closed out the Penn Relays on Friday evening with its third school record of the meet. The Women's SMR group of Anna Becker, Anna Sonsini, Molly Hudson, and Hanna Hollins finished fifth overall and earned the school record time of 3:58.00. Â
Up next: Track & Field will compete in two meets over the weekend of May 3 and 4. The Eagles will travel to Dedham, Mass. to compete at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational on May 3, before traveling to Durham, N.C. to compete at the Duke Twilight on May 4. Â
