2025 ALS Awareness Game Coming Up Sunday at Noon at Fenway Park
Miami took a 1-0 lead in the opening frame, but the Eagles responded in the bottom half, going up 2-1 on a two-run homer from Gunnar Johnson, a 394-foot blast to left field for his second of the year. The visitors brought three across in the second, retaking a 4-2 lead.
Tyler Mudd relieved BC starter Eric Schroeder in the third and worked a scoreless frame, issuing a leadoff walk but retiring the next three batters in order. The Hurricanes extended their lead with a pair of sacrifice flies in the fourth, and another two in the fifth, to go up 8-2 midway through five. After Jacob Burnham worked a scoreless sixth, the Hurricanes added two more in the seventh on a pair of singles and a double to go up 10-2. An RBI single in the eighth made it 11-2. The Eagles got two back in their half of the eighth, but Miami matched it in the top of the ninth, taking a 13-4 lead into the final frame, where the score would hold.
The Eagles and Hurricanes will play the final game of the weekend series at noon on Sunday, in Boston College's 2025 ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park, and broadcasted on ESPNU.
