Game One Goes to the Tigers

BC is back in action tomorrow night for game two of the series
CLEMSON, S.C. – Boston College Softball (19-22, 4-12 ACC) fell to the Clemson University Tigers (36-11, 15-4 ACC) by a score of 6-2 on Thursday evening at McWhorter Stadium.
The hosts jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, before going up 4-0 in the bottom of the third after a three-run home run. The Eagles answered in the top of the fifth thanks to a two-run double from Zoe Hines, which scored Hannah Slike and Jordan Stephens to make things 4-2.Â
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Clemson extended their lead to 6-2 off a two-run home run. The score would remain for the rest of the game, giving Clemson the victory in game one of the three-game series. Both teams had five hits on the day.
On deck: BC returns to action tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. for game two of the series, which will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra.
